Therapy for Professionals

“I never sleep, cause sleep is the cousin of death…”

-Nas, NY State of Mind

You perform at a high level and take pride in the quality of your work.  You expect as much of yourself as you do of your team members.  You aim for excellence, work hard, and crush goals.  But maybe you’re struggling with a work-life balance. Or your boss is a jerk, or you’re having trouble resolving a conflict with that particular colleague. Or you’re feeling unfulfilled, burned out, or prepping for the next big interview.

Maybe the problem isn’t at work - maybe it’s getting harder and harder to put on a positive attitude in the morning when it seems like your insides are a mess, and you wonder why you can’t just fix that problem. Or you have aspirations bigger than you’re current role, or are in the process of dreaming up your next endeavor. Or the toll that the pandemic is taking on your industry is too much to handle right now.

We can discuss these challenges in therapy, and our goals may include things like problem solving, stress management, coping with burnout, conflict resolution and communication skills. We can also practice work and personal life responsibilities, planning for significant professional transitions, or managing workload of launching a new business. Your mental and emotional wellness is impacted by your work and vice versa.

If you’re not looking for therapy per se but you’re looking for job coaching for personal or professional development, we can work on identifying and utilizing your natural strengths, breaking down goals for competency development, practicing consistency in your work habits, implementing interventions for self control and flexibility, talking through leadership ideas, and even addressing anxiety around things like public speaking.
